This Wall Talks (July 2017- present)
This Wall Talks was originally installed and performed at Greensboro Project Space in collaboration with the local spoken word community. The public was invited to manipulate and recombine fragments of poems and write their own lines on blank transparencies. Live, spontaneous writing lit up the side of the downtown brick building and invited creative exchange between communities.
In November, This Wall Talks was presented in Richmond, VA as a part of InLight, a downtown annual festival of illuminated art organized by 1708 Gallery and juried by Nat Trotman, curator of performance and media at the Guggenheim Museum.
In December, Rebus Works of Raleigh, NC hosted the project in collaboration with performing artists Orlando Parker Jr. and Lara Americo to raise awareness of NC's activist LGBTQ community and join their efforts.
